The Blackbird 002 really does seem to be gorgeous and powerful (as opposed to lackluster and impotent, like my in-laws. But I have to wonder how much of its cooling design is hype. Similarly conceived aluminum hard drive enclosures ended up running hotter than unsightly but spacious enclosures with second fans.

Perhaps I'll wait until the bleeding tech has coagulated along with the price tag and buy one then, if early users' experience proves as seamless as the glinting Blackbird's design.

Perhaps I'll wait until the bleeding tech has coagulated along with the price tag and buy one these -- if the experience of earlier users prove as seamless as that glinting hoverer looks.
