Don't be tempted by those 700 series devices until you make sure that they have worked the kinks out of them. I've read alot of complaining on the internet and comments by reviewers that they take *forever* to get a satellite signal when you first power them up. I have a 680 (similar to the 650 but with bluetooth and MSN traffic/weather/gas prices) The device does have a flip out antenna, but it is small and never gets in the way. It even looks nice. This antenna works flawlessly and I get satellite signals within seconds of power up. Buyer beware...
By the way, the 680 was at Costco last week for $479.

scotthuddleston

Despite looking much nicer, the XBR has a 120Hz refresh rate so it handles motion much better, it has a nicer video processor and WAY better black levels. The only Samsung comparible to this is the 4681, though the 4671 comes kinda close. Of course the Geo Metro is cheaper than the Benz, ITS NOT AS GOOD. I sell all the TVs you listed and see them on a daily basis. The 4661 and W3000 are good in their own rights, but no XBR.

havok2022

Yes - Nuvi 650 over 660 anyday.

1. Bluetoot hands-free calling. If the unit sits on its holder hanging from a windshield, then it 3-4 feet from your mouth. In most cars, the background noise is going to be unacceptably loud for the person on the other end. Besides, our GPS will be mostly off - unless we turn it on for direction finding. To have it on all the time, then we have to have the power plugged in with its dangly cord. Yuk.

2. FM transmitter - Nice idea but we usually like to flipping stations while driving or have a CD/mp3 player as source. Are you really going to keep your radio to an unused frequency just so you can hear the turn directions. The built in speaker should be loud enough. If it isn't, then it's a design fault (The TomToms get louder as you drive faster). Oh, you can play mp3 from the Garmin? Big whoop.

Yes - TomTom One for $149 is a great buy but it SUCKS at estimating travel time/ETA. Garmin fares better in this regard.

bruceb17

For real, $700 for ANY Garmin is ridiculous. Hell, I'll even go as far as saying any GPS period. Unless of course the GPS actually drives the car from point A to point B for me, while displaying porn too raunchy for Sweeden as it blasts Kiss' "I Was Made for Loving You" through my car's speakers...
