I'm still not sure about this whole "camping" thing. It's like somebody taking a vacation back in history thousands of years. At least back in the day they couldn't harness the sun for energy and power like nowadays. This Universal Solar Charger looks a heck of a lot like a Nintendo DS. It can charge umpteen different gadgets thanks to the wide variety of included adapters and the USB port. Just expose the solar cells, plug in your gadget, and be able to experience a little electronic gadgetry that will make you regret going camping in the first place. It is available from Brando for $70. [Product Page]

Will it charge the iPhone?
will it play doom?
and
will it blend?
got those outta the way.
needs a regular power outlet for non usb stuff (does it have one?)
Will it blend?
@oo0cyst0oo: Oh no I left this page open since 5 o'clock and just commented now unaware that we already got the necessary questions out of the way!
I checked the stats and the AC adapter looks like it's for just charging the battery pack. It's made for the cell phones listed (didn't see Iphone) and the Ipod via the USB output. At this size it's not for doing laptops or other things, just phones and Ipods. For the price that's not bad though if you have a use for it.
I still wish they would make a bigger unit with larger panels and a power inverter with an AC style plug that could charge anything you had an adapter for. There's a lot of devices like digital SLR batteries and stuff that could be used with an AC adapter for output to make it really universal.
I'm wondering if it can charge a Nokia phone since all I am seeing are Nokia Nseries ads.
@naiad: Yes it will. Use the USB to iPod/iPhone connector and plug it into the solar charger's USB port. I actually saw this on Amazon but ended up getting the Energizer Energi to Go iPodPowr2 charger for $10 on eBay. 20 AA Energizer batteries were about $5 at CVS.
lol hmmm will it charge my laptop...XD
Looks a lot like this one, but its only $50 and free shipping
