The first time I was able to gain access to the locked telephone room and reconnect my service (Comcast was even nice enough to put a cap on the end of my coax cable!). A lot of the overpriced items do things in theory, but the gain is so minimal it's not noticeable, and in most cases, it's just snake oil. However, in an A-B test, I bet you the majority of people would be able to tell the difference between the standard codecs and the advanced codecs, given the right equipment. more » [gizmodo]
