Skeptic commented on Bank Of America Lets Identity Thief Withdraw $40,000 In A Single Day, at 5:55 PM on Jul 27 We have to stop using the phony term "Identity Theft." The thieves didn't steal an idenity, they defrauded Bank of America, who was stupid enough to give away money. This British radio skit covers it pretty well: more » [consumerist]

Skeptic commented on Target Refuses Return, Says If Computer Doesn't Show Item, It Doesn't Exist, at 5:36 PM on Jun 6 Uhm...from the story it sounds like the OP was trying to return a $200 lampshade without a receipt. If the OP had a receipt then Target is being stupid. more » [consumerist]

Skeptic commented on Is The "Unbreakable Autolock" Actually Just "Gone In 60 Seconds?", at 12:53 PM on May 6 by danio3834 at 09:47 AM Reply * Years ago I thought the best security system would be to replace the driver's air bag with a 12 gauge shell and a primer that would activate when the vehicle is started in theft mode. I figured the mess afterward would render the vehicle useless anyway, but revenge would be sweet. The think about booby traps is that they are often much more likely to kill the creator than a thief. more » [consumerist]

Ignorance? Funny, I'm not the "expert" audio reviewer who thinks that **carbon** is magnetic and that demagnetizers make LPs sound better... Project much? I've left a more detailed response on your page...

Your comments about cables indicate true ignorance, which comports nicely with your arrogance.

I have not backtracked at all. After Pear backed out, I tried to get Randi to let me use my reference cables. He agreed, subject to what his "advisors" told him. That's the last I heard from him. The next day on his site he claimed I was backing out, I was a "blowhard," etc. He's a pathological liar. And that's the truth. He's mischaracterized my writing often, doing whatever it takes to discredit me, including total lies-whatever it takes to harm the reputations of others....He's a swell crusader! -Michael Fremer
